Won't Launch

When I try to launch the mod I get the following error message:

Failed to load the launcher DLL:
The specified module could not be found.

I followed the instructions for installing - close Steam, extract the .rar file, copy the folder to the sourcemods folder.

I opened the chapter1.cfg file. The only text is: map STTR_Ch1A_Set64 // howitallbegun (text and spacing are exactly as they are here).

Because of the error message, it seems like it is looking for a .dll that isn't included in the mod download .rar.

Any suggestions?

I am quite sure that this is not related to this chapter1.cfg file.
Keep it as it is.

There are no custom dll files in this mod, that's why you may try this:

-Go to your Steam Library.
-Right click on Half-life2: Episode Two -> Properties
-Under Properties got to Local Files
There should be : Verify Integrity of Game Cache.
- Click on this verification and wait until its completed
- Then restart Steam and try again

Thank you. That was the problem.

HL2 failed 1 verification so I launched that game to re-download the file and then quit the game. After restarting Steam S.T.T. & R. launched and ran great.
